Your Instructor

Hi, my name is Chris and I am a fully qualified DSA ADI, which in simple terms means Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor. I have been an ADI for over 10 years now.

To achieve this qualification I had to undergo rigorous training, which means I offer the best and most modern training techniques. To ensure I keep to this high standard I am regularly checked and graded by senior examiners. I am also fully and regularly CRB checked to ensure peace of mind.

I have been driving since I passed my driving test when I was 17 years young. I am a confident driver and have always enjoyed my driving, which is something I want to help new drivers experience.

I have lived in Lincoln since I was 10 so I know the city and surrounding areas very well. This allows me to plan a suitable route for every pupil, for every lesson. During this time I have also lived in Manchester for a number of years. This is valuable experience I can pass onto my pupils about different types of driving.

Before becoming an instructor, I obtained a degree in Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston.  After sampling the world of journalism, I decided it was not the career for me and turned to retail. I worked my way up into retail management, where a big part of my role was to train new colleagues joining the business and also existing ones new skills and procedures. I enjoyed this very much and decided I wanted to do this part of my role full time and teaching a subject I loved - driving. I moved back to Lincoln in 2008 and began on my path to becoming a driving instructor. I passed my instructor exam on my first attempt in May 2009.

I have always been described as a very sociable, outgoing, approachable and a people person, attributes which are key to helping nervous drivers feel at ease in the car.
